Coldwell Banker joins single listing website ‘Bien’ici’

The French branch of luxury real estate network Coldwell Banker has joined the Bien’ici initiative, a platform grouping several major real estate agencies’ listings. The site contains a number of innovative technological features allowing users to discover and explore properties online.

Coldwell Banker France and Monaco has announced its participation in a new single listing platform in a recent press release. The real estate network specializing in luxury property is joining Bien’ici, a website grouping the rental, sales and development listings of several agencies and featuring innovative digital tools to aid users in their property search.

“We are proud to partner with Bien’ici, a site with the latest technological advances, such as 3D mapping, allowing customers to better choose their future home and be better informed about its area and immediate environment” said Laurent Demeure, CEO of Coldwell Banker France and Monaco.

He adds that “Bien’ici, which borrows its technology from the world of video games, is a real revolution in terms of the richness of its offer and its innovative features which facilitate property searches. ”

The common platform was created by 24 real estate companies — including Foncia, Laforêt and Century 21 — with the aim of making online property search easier, quicker and more informative for prospective buyers.

The website offers a number of novel features to appeal to tech-savvy users. These include a 3D layout allowing users to view buildings from all angles, 360° virtual tours of properties and detailed, searchable maps of the area indicating all points of interest around the home — transport links, shops, restaurants, schools, cultural centers and monuments, for instance.

A new “Around me” feature allows users visiting a property to access nearby property listings directly from their smartphones. This enables them to compare the home they are viewing to all others up for sale or rent within a 500-meter radius.

Launched in December 2015, the website already contains over 1 million property listings, with creators hoping it will soon reach 1.4 million ads, as many as Seloger.com, the site’s main competitor.

After free usage for six months, professionals wanting to post listings on the site will choose between a 70 euros per month offer, allowing them to publish an unlimited number of ads and another at 150 euros per month, offering them the added benefit of uploading videos and links to their own websites.

Founded in the United States in 1906, the Coldwell Banker network has been implanted in France since 2010, achieving a 300 million turnover last year in 2015. It has 19 agencies across France and Monaco and plans to open 10 new units in France this year.
